Introducing The Artist.  Glenyse Henschel is a San Francisco Bay Area native who is very passionate about her art. As a child she serendipitously stumbled upon a quote by the great actress, Eleonora Duse: “If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass has the power to move you, rejoice, for your soul is alive.”  This became her motto for life and has defined her artistic career.

Inspiration for the Painting.  "Darn dogs – I just love ‘em! There is no deep hidden meaning here. Dogs simply delight me. They are rambunctious, magical, and fun to be around.  Innocent is a painting of my lovely assistant, Theo. Happy. Joyous. Ready to play. And, if I might add, incredibly helpful in the studio." - Glenyse Henschel.

2014 Innocent Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon.  2014 was an exceptional vintage for Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon, garnering critical praise for producing wines that are aromatically expressive, rich and energetic, with striking balance and plenty of potential.  Winemaker/Owner Brenda Lynch chose one barrel of her Cabernet Sauvignon that was exceptionally rich and complex in flavor for this bottling.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Deep, dark fruit aromas combine with subtle vanilla, clove and spice from 100% French oak aging. Layers of flavor explode in the mouth creating a richly textured and lush mouthfeel. Black current and black cherry intermingle with dark chocolate and hints of smoke in a luxuriously long finish. Ripe and silky tannins complete the finish promising exceptional aging potential.
Production Notes
Grapes for this special wine came from the prestigious Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County.
Food Pairing Notes
This wine deserves a special meal. Decant the bottle, let it breathe and serve it with Beef Wellington, done medium rare. Accompanied by garlic mash potatoes and oven roasted brussels sprouts.
