2022 Pure Joy on the Beach Viognier

Introducing The Artist.  Barbara Lawrence was born in San Francisco and spent her early years walking the hills and beaches, exploring the parks and museums and sailing on San Francisco Bay, all the time absorbing the rich visual information which later became her paintings.  Her work is characterized by rich color and sensuous paint application.  The special color and light of California provide her with a never-ending source of material.

2022 Pure Joy on the Beach Dry Creek Valley Viognier.  Viognier is such an expressive and distinctive wine.  Originally from the Northern Rhone region of France, the grape excels in warmer regions of California.  Winemaker Brenda Lynch's 2022 Viogier, her first ever, comes from the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County.  It playfully combines bright natural acidity and uplifting floral and peach flavors with a medium full finish focused on honeysuckle richness.
