2020 Girly Girl Pinot Noir

Introducting the Artist.  Artist Christie Marks was born and grew up in the Los Angeles area. She refers to art as being her third career. Prior to beginning her fine art training, Marks spent 15 years in fashion merchandising followed by 12 years in the interior design field.  A full-time artist since 2014 based in Santa Rosa, her motivation for creating art comes from a deep sense of empathy and a desire to connect.

Inspiration for the Painting.  "The painting ‘Girly Girl’ is a tribute to my sweet rescued greyhound, Sydney who passed away in 2012 but whose spirit is very much alive. She was truly elegant!  She had a collection of hats, fancy collars and sweaters to wear and I loved to have her sit as a model.  One day I attached a flower to her favorite hat, placed it on her head, and reached for my sketchbook. That sketch became the basis for this painting."  - Christie Marks.

2020 Girly Girl Sonoma County Pinot Noir.  Pinot Noir has a very special place in Winemaker Brenda Lynch's heart.  She first started making wine in the Russian River Valley, crafting limited production, intense Pinot Noir wine from grapes grown from exceptional vineyards.  This 2020 Sonoma County Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley returns Brenda to her roots and is full of promise with its beautiful flavors and silky finish.
