Winemaker Brenda Lynch is pleased to release her 2017 Miss Understood Pinot Noir. We love to drink Pinot Noir at Mutt Lynch - it is a luscious red wine that is juicy and delicious with red fruit aromas of cherries, raspberries and strawberries. And it goes well with all types of food - fish, fowl or meat! What's not to like! We hope you enjoy our 2017 Miss Understood.
Luscious Pinot Noir. Of all the red wines, we find Pinot Noir to be the most sensuous. There is something about the flavors and mouthfeel of Pinot Noir that evoke descriptors like sensual, silky, seductive, even ethereal. Yes, we're talking about wine! For Brenda Lynch, capturing these qualities is the key to making a Pinot Noir worthy of a Mutt Lynch label. Introducing our 2017 Miss Understood Pinot Noir.
It’s all about the fruit. For her “Dog Series” wines, Brenda has one goal in mind - create fruit-forward wines with varietally true aromatics, mid palette weight and flavor, and a full bodied and balanced finish. Brenda sources her fruit from a variety of appellations within California always letting the quality of the fruit drive her selections. Her travels always seem to have stops in beach towns for a cold beer at the local pub, which she claims are an equally important part of her winemaking!
Our 2017 Miss Understood has classic Pinot Noir flavors of ripe red cherries and strawberries with hints of herbs and smoke. Its beautiful fruit leads into a long, silky and smooth finish.

Food Pairing Notes
The strength of our Miss Understood Pinot Noir is that it is so versatile with food, going well with almost anything. Any day of the week! At Mutt Lynch, it is our "red wine with fish" option as well as our choice with more delicate meats like pork loin. Picture marinated pork loin that is grilled on a plank to keep it moist and juicy.
