Hellhound Red Blend.  A supernatural dog, mythical  in nature, jet black and red with piercing yellow eyes, the guardian of the gates of hell.  Legend has it that seeing a hellhound or hearing its howl is ominous.  Stare into its eyes three times and death awaits.  Just think of what will happen when you drink a glass of Mutt Lynch HellHound.  Dark and decadent, a hellishly delicious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. Certainly not for the faint of heart.

Be careful! - Brenda Lynch

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Our 2014 HellHound Red Blend opens with a primordial roar of toasty oak and blackberries. This beast then delivers sinfully tempting flavors of blackberries, cherries and dark chocolate. The 2014 HellHound is big, bold and beautiful. Full-bodied, with just the right amount of plush, ripe tannins, our 2014 HellHound leaves you with a finish that will have wanting more, more, more. Consequences be damned!
Winemaker Notes
The Art of Blending. Winemaker Brenda Lynch combines a variety of winemaking tools to create her Hellhound Red Blend - fermentation in open top tanks, hand punch downs and barrel aging in French Oak. Then she blends. To a core of Cabernet Sauvignon she adds small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah to provide additional flavors, complexity and depth.
Food Pairing Notes
For a hellishly delicious pairing, we suggest you go the grill route with your favorite steak cuts. But you can also pair with a hearty pasta Bolognese. We know either will be a supernatural combination!
