Dog Art Wine Label Contest Winner. Mutt Lynch Winery and Dog Art Today were ecstatic to select Rusty, artist Kimberly Santini's soulful painting of her recently deceased grandfather's favorite dog Rusty, as this year's winner in our 2010 'dog art' wine label contest. Rusty now graces the label of our 2008 Sonoma County 'Muttitage' red wine, a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Petit Verdot and 8% Petite Sirah aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Only 96 cases of this limited edition wine were produced.
Aromas of cassis and red berry fruit are framed by youthful tannins and pretty dark chocolate French oak flavors. The wine has a wonderful entry that is both lively and bold. Rusty tastes great now, aged to perfection.
