The foundation of my Reserve mbf (man’s best friend) wines is always a strong relationship. With Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, my relationship started with my first vintage and first wine every made in 1995. 2018 is my 24th vintage and I love making this wine as much today as I did at the beginning, with its purity of berry fruit and hints of spicy oak.
The 2018 vintage is definitely one of the ripest, most full bodied and rich Zinfandel’s I’ve produced in recent years. Definitely dark and jammy berry fruits with spicy and seductive French oak in the aroma and taste. The wine is rich and ripe in mouthfeel with a long, luxurious finish.
Food Pairing Notes
Keep it simple. Pizza, pasta with red meat sauce, grilled chicken.
