Friends of the Mutt!

Happy New Year!!  As we start 2009, we sincerely hope that it is a year that ends better off than it has started.  Might this week and our new President signal the start of that hope.  Whether you voted for Obama or against him; whether you are for the bailout packages or against them; we don't care.  At Mutt Lynch, what we care about is that, in these turbulent times, we don't create a "dog eat dog" world out there where hope, generosity and care disappear.  And given our passion for "all things dog", there has never been a more critical time than now to remind us all that "tough times" will impact animals just as much as we humans.  

Just this week, we were awed and inspired by a new webpage we stumbled upon, www.adapt-a-pet.com.  They have just launched their 2009 ADOPT campaign, and have unveiled their new iconic logo by artist Shepard Fairey, who also designed Barack Obama's "Hope" image.  What a powerful image.  Better yet, their aim is so needed during these difficult times - to raise awareness about the importance of adopting pets and to provide the animals of our country with hope and positive change too.  Check out their "Mutts Like Me" webpage, download the image, spread the word, adapt a pet!!

Phew... that was pretty serious stuff coming from a winery that has dogs on its label and a winery philosophy that says "Apply Dog Logic to Life: Eat Well, Be Loved, Get Petted, Sleep a Lot, Dream of a Leash Free World."  What can tiny little Mutt Lynch Winery do to help the cause....

We weren't kidding when we said we make doggone good wines.  Our 2009 competition season has started with a BANG!  The results are in from the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and... Mutt Lynch had another clean sweep.  All 6 wines entered won medals - 2 Golds and 4 Silvers...
